Who could refuse....really? Chocolate - Brownie - Cookie - Cake! I am in charge of the food for a baby shower tomorrow. While this dessert has no significance when it comes to a baby shower, it is what I have chosen to make. I saw this on Picky Palate (check my favorite sites). I thought it was so cute, that I went to Williams-Sonoma that evening and picked myself up this pan. I am not one for making cakes, at least decorating them and all that stuff. I also do not collect an array of cake pans, but this one is generic and cute enough to use for many occasions.
So, to make this I just used a couple of brownie mixes and made them as normal (one brownie mix per pans). Then I made a simple butter cream frosting. Once the brownies were completely cooled, I layered them with the frosting in between and...Voila! I am excited to dig into it tomorrow.
I guess it really isn't a cookie, except that it is shaped like an oreo. And, it really isn't a cake except for that it is layered like one. Oh well, it still sounds good to me.
