Picasa

My friend, Amber, told me about this free photo editing software from Google called Picasa. She uses it a lot to make cute collages on her blog. I did not have any photo editing software so I downloaded it yesterday and have been playing around with it. I am sure that most of you already have something that you use to edit photos, but if you don't, I would recommend this software. Here is what I did with a photo that Stan took from the 4th of July parade.

I took this photo..

Cropped it and lightened it up..

added some warmth...

this is the black and white effect..

and then b&w with some added softness.

Makes a cute girl even cuter.

It is pretty fun to play around with, esp. after you had a c-section and sit around a lot. Just google 'Picasa 3' to find the download.

And one more thing that I love about this program... I always order my digital prints online through companies like Snapfish and Shutterfly. When I haven't ordered prints in months (or a year) it takes a looong time to upload all my photoes to their site. Picasa has links to these sites so it helps me to upload them as I take photos off my camera and then I can order them anytime.

Ok, baby crying..got to go.

You went to the parade on the 4th?!?! Ha ! I called that one. Way to "take it easy." You're taking it easy the way I did after a c-section. I'll bet the parade was sad without Ronnie Chance huh?

Love Picasa and Love those cute pictures of that cute girl. Just FYI in Picasa you can share your photo album by emailing the link to friends and then they can download your pictures onto your computer. This is how our family shares picutres now and since you have family spread out like us I think you will love it.
