This past weekend we packed up the family and headed to Birmngham, AL for an overnight trip. Amy and Lorrin were nice enough to come at the last minute and watched the kids for us Saturday morning so that Stan and I could go to a temple session together. And if are counting, that means 7 people in one hotel room. Needless to say, no one slept too well that night. And it reaffirmed what I already knew, that sleeping in a room with all my children would be quite miserable. At least we got to go to the temple.
After our session we took the kids to the McWane Science Center in downtown Birmingham. We are members at Fernbank, here in Atlanta, and they reciprocate with McWane, so we were able to go for free. This place was so fun for the kids. There was a ton to do! They even had a Nodosaur, Jake's favorite (and quite obscure) dinosaur. Here are a few pics from our weekend.
