Kate has had a couple of prayers lately that were so funny, I had to record them on here.
1) The other night Stan was helping Kate say our family prayer. Stan would say a line for Kate to repeat, but Kate had her own way of repeating what he said. Stan would say something like "Help us sleep well." and Kate would follow with "sleep sleep sleepy". And thus the prayer continued. Stan would say something along the lines of "Please keep us safe."...Kate: "Safe safe safey". Each line picking the main word repeating it three times and adding a 'Y' to the last word. I probably should have corrected her, but I was trying so hard not to laugh, and it was just funny and cute. Hopefully, Heavenly Father will forgive our crazy family prayers.
2) Yesterday was Kate's first day of primary at church, so Sister Castro asked Kate to say the opening prayer in sharing time. I was sitting in the back thinking 'She is going to freeze and not say anything'. Boy, was I wrong. Kate gets up there and Sister Castro bends down to help Kate, but before Sister Castro can get one word out, Kate is already talking into the microphone jabbering out about a minute of stuff that sounds like "Tre tre tres, tre dos tres..." and this goes on for a little while. I didn't know what the heck she was doing until she jabbered out "tres cinco tres". Then it dawned on me...'Oh, she is trying to speak Spanish!" They don't even speak Spanish in Primary, but she was rambling off what few Spanish words she knew. It was hilarious! I guess she hears it in sacrament meeting and thought she had to pray in Spanish for all of Primary. Luckily, Sister Castro figured out what was going on and helped Kate say an appropriate prayer, in which Kate did just fine repeating.

Emma has taken to rolling around wherever she may be during her private prayers. When I gently correct her, as we are saying a prayer, she turns her hips in the other direction. If I stop the prayer to straighten her out, she will yell for me to stop and then return to her prayer. Not very reverent. But, I am hoping that the message of saying our private prayers is improtant. We just need to address the squirming issue.
I love it when the little kids pray. It is so cute how they repeat what we guide them to say in their own manner.
