The Sports Desk
The Johnson world is filled with different types of sports. There is a definite love of basketball, volleyball, and most recently, "Dance, Dance Revolution". However, the real focus (as of late) is my running. I started running last August and am working up to a half marathon in late April. I, along with some family, will be doing the "Country Music Marathon/Half Marathon" in Nashville, TN. http://www.cmmarathon.com/home.html I have been doing some races to prepare me for the 13.1 miler. In October, I did the Peachtree Classic 5K with my friend, Wendy. I also did a family 5K on Thanksgiving day on the Silver Comet Trail. In December I did a local 5K here in PTC (the Jingle Bell Trail). My most recent race was January 19th. It was a low key 10K put on by the Atlanta Track Club and the Peachtree City Running Club. I convinced my friend, Sandra, to run the race with me the night before the race. This was also the day of the big snow. (see the weather center) We were lucky that the snow held off long enough for us to run the whole race in the rain. It was lots of fun and my favorite race thus far, probably because it has been my longest one. Having a friend there and running in the rain also made it lots of fun (or as fun as running can be)!

You guy's are a bunch of Jocks. I love your blog!
Love, love, love your blog!!
I spied you off of Kat's blog, I hope you don't mind.
I had no idea you were such a runner. Very impressive.
Stan made quite the snowman with our pretty pitiful snow. He's pretty good.
I'm adding you guys to our links, so I can stalk your blog when ever I want.
Later,
Jenn Thomas
How's the blogging going? Are you guys enjoying it yet? It took me a year to convert. Seriously. We had our blog for over a year before I became addicted. I'm not sure what pushed me over the edge. But, at times I wish I could go back to the pre-addict days. I'm kidding.
Hi guys, welcome to the wonderful world of blogging. Found you via Kat & Rick.
We've been at it for almost 2 years now. What a great way for everybody to stay in touch (and find out your little family secrets, hehe)!
Hey, Laura! I left facebook, but am glad to have found you here. I am so intrigued by your running. You rock! I've started an online training schedule (coolrunnings.com), but am not fully sure that I can do a 5K. Were you confident from the beginning? Good to see you! Oh, and I also found you via Kat and Rick.
Hey Laura and Stan,
Welcome to the blogging world. Laura, keep up the good work. You totally ROCK!!
