One More Month

It's the final countdown! One more month until my half marathon. Yikes! I have still been training and did 6.5 miles this past Saturday with my dad and my sister, Tricia. I am going out this Saturday to do a 10 miler with Tricia. I am trying to convince her to run the half marathon with me. I welcome anyone else who wants to do a very slow 13.1 miles in Nashville at the end of April. http://www.cmmarathon.com/home.html

Okay you have to tell me how you got such a cute template. I want one that is not PYZAM. I love it!

Wish I could join you in TN the end of April. That would be so fun.

A half marathon. Wow. I am so impressed! It wasn't that long ago that you had completed your first 5K. Good for you!

I've been training for my first 5K (April 12), and am finally to the point of enjoying it, and now I "get" why runners love it so much! So, what made you decide to do a half marathon? The challenge?

The lack of anything in my life that I was doing for myself. Running is a drug that gives me my sanity back.

I'm so totally there with you! Plan on me! Except for the running part. And the driving to Nashville part. But I'll be there in spirit!!

I would run it, but I think you'd just take out all your aggression out on me while we ran.

I'm confused by the title of your blog. Why is "Johnson World" in quotes? Is it because it's not really your world? Or is it to emphasize that it's not World News as reported by the Johnsons? See also The "Blog" of "Unnecessary" Quotation Marks.

I'm just kidding, by the way -- just defending my wife from your bittersweet onslaught.

I see you've gone ad hominem on me -- I'm cool with that. I probably noticed even before you did that I was bald.

"Many times, an opponent's use of an ad hominem attack is an indication that the opponent realizes that the argument itself is correct and cannot be refuted."

Oh my word. Do I need to recruit Stan to help defend me. What is up with the double-teaming. I guess Wendy has always been quick to defend you. It must have finally rubbed off on you. I really don't have too much desire to continue this fun little banter. You may reply once more, if having a last word is important to you.

Good Luck on your half-marathon! I think that is awesome that you have started to run. I was just telling Jordan the other day that we need to find a half-marathon to train for (we both need to lose the "baby weight")
