Fat Tuesdays

Last August Stan started a MBA program and now every Tuesday he is gone all day with work and school. Tuesdays started to be my horrible day of the week where I had the kids all day long. To help me out, we signed Jake up for an extra day at Children's Morning Out, but my biggest saving grace has been my little sister Tricia. I have mentioned her in other blogs as my running partner who I have convinced to run a 1/2 marathon with me. Tricia always comes over on Tuesdays and hangs out with me and the kids. We usually end up taking the golf cart and going out to eat and inevitably end up baking something, thus we have termed our weekly get togethers "Fat Tuesday". I have come to look forward to Tuesdays now because of her.
Well, now Tricia is leaving me next month to go live with her twin sister out in Idaho and go to BYU. She credits me for her going out there, as she says that she would not have finished the application process if I had not pushed her to do it. What have I done?! I don't know what I am going to do without her. She comes over almost everyday and hangs out with me. We laugh, play games, bake (a lot), shop, get pedicures, run, and she is the best babysitter ever!
This is us at Lake Peachtree with another sister, Kristen. She came along with us this past Tuesday since she was down here for the day. It was a very pretty sunset at the lake.

So, there are spots on my calendar for some Tuesday evenings that are going to be vacant. If anyone wants to start hanging out, give me a call. You get to hang out with this little cutie, and her baby too.

What a sweet tribute to your sister. It makes me sad for you, though, that she's going away. I hope you find someone fun to help you fill up your Tuesday time. I'd love to bake with you if I was closer! You're a wonderful older sister, and I'm sure Tricia will thank you many times over for encouraging her to get her college application filled out.

I will come down to visit once school is out (mid June). That means, of course, that Ethan & Ellie will be in-tow, so I am not sure if our welcome will last beyond the first week. I am craving that Pad Thai Winnie bought last time, though, so we'll be down at least one week. Tricia has also been a great babysitter for me & now that the twins are going/gone... there's no more younger siblings to wrangle into slave labor :(. Let's make Mom retire and send her around to everyone's houses. Not that she doesn't have three in college and one on a mission to worry about....

Tough days...I know your pain. I'm excited for you sister to go out to the Y. She's going to love it.

Hello my little cutie. I'll be your date. I'm not as cute as Trisha, but me and my clan can overstimulate you and your kids so quickly that you'll wish you just had a Tuesday evening alone with your two kiddos in a quiet house.

Where do I sign up? You the kids and a golf cart ride sounds like the perfect night to me. I will miss Trica too.
