So, I don't have any pictures to go with this post, but I haven't posted anything in ten days and this event is definitely worth writing about. Friday night, Stan's parents drove over here after work and watched both kids so that we could go out on a date. Whenever I leave Kate, I am never gone for long, so we just went to dinner and grabbed Rita's frozen custard afterwards. We went to a little cafe type place just here in town called "Grinds and Wines" or "Wines and Grinds" .....I can't remember. You would think it is just a place for coffee and wine, but they have really good food. We decided that we would eat outside and it was so pleasant. It was the perfect temperature and not windy; there was also nice music playing. It was borderline romantic, which we don't do a whole lot of. Then when we grabbed Rita's we also sat outside and chatted. It was so relaxing to be able to have a nice dinner and dessert with my hubby on a nice evening with no kids, and we didn't have to come home and pay a babysitter. Jake did not have school or playgroup that whole week and I had had the kids constantly, so it was nice to recharge a bit.
Other great news: Kate is sleeping in her crib now (for those who have been following my blog and remember the post titled "My Biggest Fan."). Now, I have to work on her taking a bottle on occasion. Also, my big race is less than two weeks away...scary. My sis Tricia will be running with me. That should be fun. And, we are planning a cruise for next January...anyone wanna tag along? We love cruising with friends! (Jen Thomas, I know how you love cruises and I know you will be reading my blog since you are a blog addict. You should come.) Ok, so I think that is all I have. Later!

Herb and I will have to check out that place, I just assumed it was a liquor store of some sort. Good luck on your race, how impressive.
Those are rare and precious moments to enjoy your husband without little darlings around. What a fun night. I think it's these moments that keep us going through the hum-drum of daily activities.
Good luck on your race in Nashville. Woo Hoo!!!!!!
