Today I signed up to do the Peachtree City Classic 5K. This was the first race that I ever participated in. (These pictures are from last year's race)I ran it with my friend, Wendy, who was nice enough to go at my slow pace the whole time. This race was the first of a few that led up to me running my first 1/2 marathon last April. Well, I just recently joined a gym and been going faithfully. It is nice to start running again, and also to be able to do classes and weights. I am thinking that my goal will be to do to all the same races that I have done in the past year and to beat my time in each one. If I am feeling very ambitious, and running is going well, I may sign up for the Atlanta half marathon on Thanksgving Day. If I do my same schedule as last year, it will be the Plauche 5K on Thanksgiving Day, The Jingle Bell Trail in December, The Atlanta Track Club 10K in January, and the half in April. I will keep you guys updated. For the moment, I just need to prepare for my race next month. I invite anyone to come and run with me. You will feel fast running next to me, as I am seriously slow.

Good Luck, Laura! Harry was going to do the 15k, but Hannah has a gymnastics meet in Macon and Harrison has a band comepetition in Warner Robbins that day. The kids and I are going to do the Jingle Bell in August (we're signed up to run the Circl of Life 5K through Animal Kingdom in January).
I meant Jingle Bell in December. DUH me!
