Weekend at the Cabin

This past weekend we went up to Calyton, GA and rented a cabin for 3 nights. I love negotiating with people, and in my search for a cabin I was able to get a super last minute deal. We called the Kartchners and they came up for one night. They got there Saturday morning and left Sunday evening so we had 2 full days of fun with them. I will start by telling you about this great little place about half and hour north of Calyton in Frankiln, NC. It is a BBQ joint called "Fat Buddies". We have been there a few times in the past and could not pass up another chance to have the best bbq ribs ever. We told the Kartchners about how much we loved this place. I was afraid that we would talk it up too much, but they liked it (and they are not the biggest bbq fans....yeah, I don't understand it either. Jaimee is just not as southern as I am I guess. They do like some ribs though, so I can still be friends with them.)

Thanks Jac...what a cutie. This is the beautiful view we had from our cabin.The front porch. It was so relaxing to sit out there on the rocking chairs. The last night it rained a little and it was so nice to sit and listen. Kate playing on the bed in our room.
