Mining for Gems
Since the gem mining at Andy's Trout Farm did not look that great (see next post), we decided we would find another place. Well, on our way back from eating lunch, we stopped at a place on the side of the road. They give you a small bucket of dirt for $5 which you sift through and find all these great precious gemstones. Jake saw that we were collecting these rocks and so he started picking up chunks of gravel to add to our pile. Thanks Jake

Our collection of rocks, note Jake's large piece of gravel. It was probably worth about the same as the other rocks. We gave our bag of gems to Jannica.
We decided that we would all ride around in the same van for the weekend. Jaimee was nice enough to give up a seat. She ended up sitting on blankets and pillows by the door. Thanks Jaimee. It was fun riding all together.
This is a picture of a place we went called "Goats on the Roof". The name pretty much tells you evrything you need to know. There is a cute store there and you can buy food to feed the goats. The kids loved it, and I loved their homemade ice cream. This pic may be a little hard to see as my camera was a bit foggy.
