A few fun things from this wek.

I had a girls' night out this past Wednesday with my sister, Winnie, and my mom. We went to La Parilla (I can never get enough of that place), and we played glow in the dark put-put at the bowling alley in Newnan. It was fun the get out with them. I took this picture on our way back home. We are riding in the car and Winnie is driving. This is why she is not looking at the camera. Good job being a responsible driver.Winnie then came over later in the week and broght over her bunny, Hopper. My kids, esp. Kate, loved her. Kate could just not get enough. It is funny that between my two kids Jake is the more cautious one and kate is the one that is fearless. Jake would stand off a little and Kate loved holding and petting the bunny. Then today I had my 5K race. This is me and my sister, Karen, before we headed out for our race. I had a good race. Karen was a bit uncomfortable through most of her run, but she can tell you more on her blog. Check out "The Meadows Family (Karen)" blog in My Editor's Picks. She is running her second full marathon next weekend. We got Thai takeout last night and played games. It was fun to have her down here this weekend. Lastly, tonight we went to "Boo at the Zoo" with the Kartchners. They were able to get us all in for free with their zoo pass. There were a ton of fun activities there, but with crazy long lines. We had fun hanging with our friends, collecting candy, and seeing some of the animals....and playing trivia on the car ride home.My little piggy and Jake the dinosaur with Stan

I look like a deer in headlights. I finally started feeling better but haven't blogged yet. I have to steal your pic since I don't have one of my own. Can you email it to me? Boo at the Zoo is fun. Too bad it was crowded for you. We must have gotten lucky last year picking a slow night. Hopper also had magical powers over Ellie and she couldn't get enough of him(or her?). Good job on your run. Thnq for letting me crash.

Let's not kid ourselves, Boo at the Zoo SUCKED! I am glad you guys were there to suffer with us. I think my kids had fun at least. We always get so excited for these events at the zoo and then are let down when we go. It is like the pride cycle only the zoo-stupid cycle. I want to be in bed, why did I pick up this shift?

glad your run went well - You are going to do great at the half-marathon! :)
I heard Jake was sick - we hope he feels better soon. Maybe jumping jelly beans this week? ONLY if it's not crowded!!!
