Daytona Beach

While we were down in Orlando, we did a day trip to the beach. We went with Kendra and her family, and also with my parents. They decided that we should go to Daytona beach since it was more on their way home than any other beach. I had never been there and was surprised that you can drive on the actual beach there. This was not not the most appealing thing, however it did make it easy to unload all out beach gear. The downside was cleaning everyone off and getting packed up w/o covering the inside of my van with sand. I have decided that it is much better to stay in a condo on the beach than to do just a day trip. We did have a lot of fun while we were there. Jake, who used to HATE the sand, did such a great job. He loved the sand and the waves. Kate took a little while to warm up to the idea of getting in the ocean, but she ended up enjoying it as well.
