Disney

We just took the kids to Disney while we were down in Orlando for Amy's wedding. We were down there for 8 nights and did 5 days of Dinsey. We did all 4 major theme parks and Magic Kingdom Kingdom a second time. Here are a few pics from our trip.

Jake and Kate outside the Playhouse Disney Live on Stage show.

This is a pic of our pool that we had at out townhouse. It had it's own private pool along with two larger pools within the resort. We spent a lot of time swimming and the kids loved it. They were asking to leave the parks just so they could go back and swim. It was so hot down there that we only lasted until around 4:00 each day. Then we would head back and cool off in the pool.

This pic was one of the best highlights for me. We got to Animal Kingdom when it opened and while we were waiting for our fastpass time to ride a ride we went on a little walk to see different kinds of animals. We were checking out the gorillas and there wasn't much to see, but just as we were leaving, a mom and baby came down and sat right on the other side of the glass in front of us. The lady who worked there said she had never seen the mom come this close with the baby. It was so precious.

This is how we got around. I think we will wait a few years to go back. This stroller did not make for the most peaceful mode of transportation.

On the carousel!

The kids actually did much better than I thought they would. They loved all the rides. Had it not been so stinkin' hot, it would have been much more enjoyable. Jake amazed me with how he did not get scared on the rides. He rode the Dinosaur ride at Animal Kingdom twice as well as the Tower or Terror twice. Both of those rides are quite intense, but he liked them and asked to go again. It is good to be home after this exhausting week.

great pictures! seems fun but tiring as well. Glad you all are back safe and sound - let's start planning Labor Day weekend in North Carolina! David got word we'll be moving to Maryland at the end of this month. :)

I can't believe he went on Tower of Terror willingly! That is the 1st ride Elisabeth went on last year, and it ruined her whole Disney experience and freaked her out for all the fast rides. Go Jake!
