Weekend Transformation

For months I have been trying to find the perfect color for my living room. I have been staring at this yellow for too long. I have bought different samples and painted swatches on my wall. None of them were exactly what I wanted. Well, yesterday my sister, Kristen, came to visit and we decided to get this room painted...finally. So, with a leap of faith we went to Home Depot and picked out a color that I had not tried. Once they put the sample on top of the mixed can of paint, I was not happy with how it looked, so I had them add some black to make it a little more gray. The end result was perfect.

Granted this picture also has new flooring, tv, and a few accessories to go along with the new paint.

Then this morning I went yardsaling with Kristen, and I found these great, distressed picture frames. The lady wanted $5/each and I did not think she would budge, but then she offered them to me at $2/each, but I had to take them all. No problem! Then I bought some mats ($2/piece at Wal-Mart). Enlarged some some of my favorite photos in B&W. And with a total of $34 later, my living room wall is much cuter!

It looks great. I'm glad you didn't have a painting disaster like me.

Man, you're quick to get photos and put the frames up. They look AWESOME--the whole room does. Good work, my friend.
