Table Makeover

I should have taken a before shot so that you can really appreciate this transformation, but imagine this table as being a dark 70's brown with very dark wood grain and not cute at all. I picked it up at a yard sale for $10, and that was talking them down from $15.

It looks blueish, but it is much more green in person. I spent yesterday evening painting this thing. It was quite a process of priming, painting, glazing, and putting on a clear coat. I am kind of in love with the final product and I think it looks a lot better in person. There is a website that has been my inspiration. They take cheap old furniture and make it into something that looks fabulous. You just have to make sure that the piece is in good shape and has good bones. My table is a Thomasville, solid wood table. The glaze makes the details pop. I also took off all the hardware and gave them a new look from the brassy color they were before. Now, I need to find something to put on it.

Really like the table.

Let's assume I have time to do such a creative project... where would I have room to put it??? Wanna come help me paint the hall and toyroom? You have the talent. I may offer babysitting for a weekend trip as trade for the man hours and motivation!?!
