Halloween

Yesterday, we went over to Stan's mom's work for a halloween party. They have a bunch of cubicals and each cubical would hand out candy. It was a great way to go trick-or-treating. After going to trunk-or-treat, boo at the zoo, and the work party, Jake had a good understanding of how the whole trick-or-treat thing worked. We used to have to fight him to put on his costume, but now that he understood that he got candy, he was much more cooperative. After the work party we came home for a little while and then we got ready for the real trick-or-treating. We drove our golfcart up to the Kartchners and went with them. Jake and Ryan were so cute running up to the houses. Jake could not get enough. He absolutely loved it. He kept saying, "more house" or "more treats". Ryan would sometimes stay on the golf-cart and eat candy, but Jake was all about getting as much candy as possible. Kate also enjoyed it. I was not really too concerned about collecting candy for her, but she did not enjoy waiting on the golfcart with Stan, so she ended up with a ton of candy as well. We have so much candy now; it is insane. When we were done, we went back to the Kartchner's house and the kids watched a movie. This is Jake, Ryan, and Jannica bundles up watching a movie.Kate would not keep her hood on.
Stan's mom as "Jane the Plumber." She follows politics very closely and watched Fox News non-stop. She said that she always has to make a political statement.

Looks like a fun day and my child whatever her name is this week thinks you are great. Thanks she had fun talking to you and learning your name. She talked about it all the way to church this morning.

Too cute! I absoultely LOVE this age. It's so neat to see everything through their eyes again for the first time. Christmas should be a lot of fun this year for you guys, too.

Oh my word--that last photo of Kate and Jake together is so cute. I love both of their expressions, and that you can't see Jake's eyes and Kate's eyes are closed. So cute!!

Julie,
Jake was a dinosaur. Where did a Hannukah armadillo come from. I can maybe see an armadillo. You are so funny.
