Holy Crap!

In my efforts to potty train my children, I have not had much cooperation on Jake's part. He is not interested and rewards have not seemed to encourage him as much as I would like. Yesterday, I bought a simple kitchen timer so that I would make sure to put Jake on the potty in regular intervals. I figured I would just put Kate on the potty each time after him. Well, today when we started, Jake did not have any success, so it was Kate's turn to try. I sat her down and left her while I straightened up a bit. I came back and that girl had gone #1 and 2! This is the first time that either one of my kids have pooped in the potty. I never thought Kate would do it first. I have never been so happy to see poop in my life! Yay Kate! Hopefully, all of this excitement over Kate's success will give Jake some incentive to do the same. Less than 10 weeks until this baby gets here. I have no time to waste!

Boys can be hard. I tried several times to potty train them.. It didn't work with either until they were almost four. Madeleine trained a year earlier than them, and probably would have even sooner if we hadn't been moving :) Good Luck!

I think Kate may have a competative streak in her. She is kinda quiet but determined. Jake might be a little stubborn. just a guess though.

"No time to waste"--I get it! Hee hee. Jake would never live it down that Kate pottied trained before him. Go Kate!

Congrats to Kate on her first potty poop. What a talented girl. :)
I bet Jake will be close behind her.:)

Laura, it looks like you'll still have at least one out of diapers before the baby gets here :c). Kate's a smart girl.
Harrison was a pain to potty-train, too. Hannah was much easier. Harrison was 3 1/2 before he actually was fully potty-trained. Don't give up...he won't go to Pre-K in diapers, I promise.

My boys didn't want to crap. Boys are slow, expecially in this department. Girls have always been the more advanced species!!! Just kidding. Boys are the best.
