Pictures

I have not had the kids pictures taken for a long time. I have been wanting to take them before this next baby gets here. We did not have anything going on this morning so I called the portrait studio in Newnan and they had an opening. I grabbed some clothes for the kids and ran out the door. I thought the kids were old enough to cooperate. Boy, was I wrong. It was sooo crazy. We will go back once this baby comes and will get a pictures of the whole family. At least then I will have Stan there to help me. I wasn't sure if I would even get in the pictures with them, but I think we got a couple of good shots.

I will just have to remember when I look at this picture in the years to come that I am 7 months pregnant here. Whew!

So, I am going to add to this post a little thing that is somewhat frustrating to me. If you notice in Kate's picture on the sidebar of my blog, she has a scab on her nose. Also note that this was taken conference weekend (you can see the tv in the background with the mo-tab choir). Then also look at her pictures that were taken today. She has a perpetual scab on her nose. The thing will not go away. I was hoping I could wait until it went away before getting their pictures taken. It took me a while to figure out why it was always there and why once it was getting better it would suddenly get worse. See, Kate is a thumb sucker. She doesn't do it all the time, but mainly when she cuddles and holds her blankie. It never really bothered me, except for the fact the I think it is giving her buck teeth. She always sucks on her left thumb, never the right one. Well, I realized that she will also take her pointer finger and scratch her nose while she sucks her thumb. This scab is totally self inflicted. She will start to scratch it and then cry because it hurts. I try to discourage her, but I think she does it mainly at night in her crib when I am not there and she does it out of habit. I tried band-aids, but she just pulls them off. She is going to end up with an ugly little scar on her nose. I don't know what to do to make it go away or to make her stop messing with it. Anyhow, now her cute pictures have her with that dumb scab. I guess it could be something worse; it is just a little frustrating. She is still pretty dang cute to me though, scab and all.

7-months pregnant or not, you look beautiful, Laura. You do. You would never know that the kids were little pills during the photo shoot. You got some adorable shots!

Have you tried liquid bandaids? They would be harder to get off-maybe? Or else she might not notice them as much. The pics are cute, Kate's curly wispies are cute. Jake's arms around your neck are precious!
