The Loves of my Life!

In honor of Valentine's day coming up, I am dedicating this post to the loves in my life.

This guy has to be #1. He gets me. (And still likes me.) He helped me find joy in college football. He rubs my feet. He never complains when I don't cook or when I'm not on top of laundry. He lets me drag him along on crazy camping trips with 3 small kids. He would never be so crazy. He's just good, really really good. I'm a lucky gal.

And Jake. Jake brought the peace to my life that I longed for for years. He filled the void in my heart and arms. Now he fills my house with all kinds of messes and craziness. I love him a ton. He makes me laugh with the funny things he says and gives the biggest hugs. I know much more about dinosaurs than I ever thought I would because of this little guy.

Kate. Kate was the biggest surprise that I have ever had in my life. She is the child I never thought I would be able to have. She is my teeny little girl that looks like she does not belong to me. (I have been asked when someone has seen my kids, how Jake looks like me and Kate doesn't.) She is quick, funny, sweet, and cuddly. (And psychotic.) She is the one who forces me to remember that she is more important than doing dishes. I love her love for life, her trust when she jumps to me and knows I will catch her, and her demands for one more book.

Brooke is the baby that the Lord knew I needed. She is so easy going and happy. The day she was born and we were driving to the hospital, the only thing I said that I wanted her to have was chubby cheeks. I got just what I wanted, along with a chubby belly and rolly thighs. I love how she kicks with excitement and smiles so big when she sees my face. (Or anyone's for that matter, I just like to think I'm special.) She is content for so long while I take care of her older siblings. I adore her big noggin and her belly laughs. I love my little leash.

I love this little family of mine. I love my sisters who are my best friends, and my best friends that are like sisters to me. I love my parents who still love each other and love the Lord and who taught me that family comes first. Oh, I have a couple of brothers too....eh, they're alright ;)
